Off to the Beach

It's well and truly school holidays and I have been quite content to stay at home doing stuff (aka nothing!).

Suddenly I realised I would need something for news, day1 term 2 of school. (It's hard to believe that these things need to be planned.)

We decided to go to the beach and thrown in a bit of shopping. We left at 7.30am and got to the beach at 10.30am. Only three hours to get to the beach with one stop for a latte (skim milk, no sugar).

It was such a wonderful day, the three of us. A bit of staring at the water, a bit of shopping, a bit of eating, a bit of walking, a bit of driving, a stack of talking. Suddenly...

Now for the drive home, watching out for skippies (kangaroos) and bandicoots - a 3.5 hour drive home as we have to go slower to watch out for everything. 

Such a grand day out.
